Chem­i­cals man­age­ment con­ven­tions rat­i­fied by the Repub­lic of Moldova so far are the Stock­holm Con­ven­tion on Per­sis­tent Organic Pol­lu­tants (POPs) and the Rot­ter­dam Con­ven­tion on Prior Con­sent Pro­ce­dure (PIC) for Cer­tain know­ingly Haz­ardous Chem­i­cals and Pes­ti­cides sub­ject to inter­na­tional trade. How­ever, Moldova rat­i­fied the Basel Con­ven­tion on the Con­trol of Trans­bound­ary Move­ments of Haz­ardous Wastes and their Dis­posal, which addresses the issue of waste man­age­ment of haz­ardous chem­i­cals. Another impor­tant inter­na­tional treaty in the field of man­age­ment of chem­i­cals being rat­i­fied by Par­lia­ment of Moldova Mon­tréal Pro­to­col on Sub­stances that Deplete the Ozone Layer to the Vienna Con­ven­tion on the Pro­tec­tion of the Ozone Layer.
